My name is Milena, and I am a proud Argentine-American, cross-stitcher, cat-lover — also a proud Aquarius, if that sort of thing interests you. My passion lies in acting, singing and all the craziness that comes with theatre and film-making.
Having recently graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, I now live in New York City with my skittish but cuddly cat, Fig.
I performed on stage regularly as a child and a teenager, but in college I initially studied Neuroscience, Math, and Anthropology at NYU. While I have a brain that works well for math and science, I stuck on the question, why are people the way that they are? I made the realization I have to explore this question through my craft. I took the risk after two years in another field and auditioned for NYU Tisch Drama, finally and joyously committing to acting.
Although I love working in traditional areas of contemporary and classical works, I especially love participating in the collaborative process of creating new works. It is so special to be in a room with a group of committed, intelligent people, all trying to make something new. This translates to established works, too. Every production is new when you make it your own!
I will be playing the role of Helen of Troy in Shakespeare Workshoppe's production of "The Trojan Women", directed by Anna Rebek.
Emili Weintraub's film, She Ate That!, will be premiered at the SVA Theater, where I will play the lead role of Devorah.
Recording the demo for Quillen, a new musical we debuted at New York Theater Festival. I will be singing as Cuca Cordillerana on the album. ...
I will be playing the lead role of "Laura" in Ekpe Productions latest short film, "Forever in September"
